Tree root ingress is one of the most damaging and persistent drainage problems. Roots are attracted to the warm, moist environment inside drain pipes and can enter through even the smallest crack or joint. Once inside, they grow rapidly, causing blockages, pipe damage, and eventually collapse if left untreated.

How We Remove Tree Roots from Drains

Our engineers use specialist electro-mechanical root cutting equipment combined with high-pressure water jetting to remove tree root ingress from drainage pipes. The root cutter is fed into the pipe and cuts through the roots, which are then flushed away by the jetting unit. Following root removal, we carry out a CCTV survey to assess the condition of the pipe and determine whether any repair work is required. We can also advise on longer-term solutions such as pipe relining to seal joints and prevent future root entry.
